Bastrop Herb Day will be celebrated May 4, 2013 from 10-4 at Bastrop 1832  Farmers Market, 1302 Chestnut Street, next to the Convention Center.


Lectures vendors and other activities will take place during the day. Come learn about herbs and their impact in our lives.

Speakers will be:

11:00 am - Karen Schobel - Aquaponics
12:00 pm - Nancy Perriello - Elder - the Herb of the Year!
   1:00 pm - Brett Chandler-Finch - Herbal formulations
   2:00 pm - Kelly Bender - Butterfly Gardens
   3:00 pm - Deena Spellman - Culinary Herbs

Herb plants and other herbal products will be available for purchase.


The Market is open 10-2 with plenty of great locally grown and produced foods such as tasty vegetables, baked goods, preserves, grass-fed beef, farm eggs, local honey, fresh cut herbs, and more. Plus a great variety of artisan wares: paintings, jewelry, pottery, soaps, candles, metal arts, gourd art and more. We welcome the Texas Lone Star Card for food purchases.
